Hot stamping dies are the plate that contain the artwork to be foiled or embossed. They can be made from a variety of substrates, such as magnesium, aluminium, brass or silicone rubber.
Brass Dies are made using the same engraving process as Aluminium dies offering all of the same advantages but are a harder material again so are suitable for use on very long print runs or hard and difficult substrates. Brass dies cost approximately 3 times more than Magnesium or Aluminium.
